Sylvanas has been the Hero that I've been playing exclusively since she came out. Often times you can top both the siege damage, as well as the Hero damage by simply staying alive and using your abilities effectively. One thing to note is that while Sylvanas can be very powerful, she is also very easy to kill. Be careful when facing comps that focus more on crowd control than the one that is showcased in this video.
Sylvanas' Abilties:
- Withering Fire (Q) - Main ability for this build, extremely powerful.
- Shadow Dagger (W) - Use for clearing creep waves and extra damage.
- Haunting Wave (E) - Use defensively mostly to get out of trouble.
- Wailling Arrow (R) - Silences everyone in the radius, reactivate to detonate.
- Black Arrows (T) - Stuns every minion, mercenary and tower hit by any attacks.
Sylvanas talent build:
- With the Wind - Extra range, synchronizes well with Follow Through.
- Envenom - Added damage, useful for early game laning as well.
- Follow Through - Huge damage boost, if used efficiently.
- Wailing Arrow - Heroic ability.
- Evasive Fire - Extra movement speed is always your best option.
- Blood for Blood - Slowing and healing.
- Bolt of the Storm - Get out of trouble, take the upgrade to the Wailing Arrow if up against double support comps.
There are different builds that are viable on Sylvanas, but this is the one that I've been having most success with. Sylvanas is easy to learn but very difficult to master. I disagree with the label of 'Easy Ranged Specialist' as she has lots of smart little moves that you can use to your advantage. The skill camp of this Hero is huge, especially with the level 7 and level 13 talents.
Sylvanas can solo or duo lanes easily. Envenom can be used to damage enemies in the early part of the game and to make sure that the lane stays in your advantage. Watch out for Heroes that have high range or stuns such as Sgt. Hammer, Jaina, Zagara and Muradin. They can counter your laning efficiently.
In the middle part of the game, focus on team fighting and stay in the back of the combat while still dealing sufficient amounts of damage. Use your Wailing Arrow effectively, and it can make or break a battle.
